The YES. SBBS Pyzel Snowboard landed in the top three for all the Skirack's staff testers last season. Twin in flex with a mild taper, this board takes advantage of the tapered Midbite that was debuted last season, making it quick turning with less chance of toe or heel drag. Nice and light weight and very snappy feeling in and out of turns. The board feels very energetic in general. It loves to lay ruts on groomers as well as finding any sidehits available. The tail releases easily for slashing in between trees or spraying around the good snow. One staff member's reaction was, "I've never ridden a board before that if I thought of something it would just do it." YES. and Pyzel Surfboards have produced a truly wonderful all-mountain performance board, perfect for the park and the pipe but ready for those big powder days too (because of the Slamback Inserts). Flex Rating (1 = soft, 10 = most responsive) 7 Suggested Use All-Mountain, Big-Mountain, Split-Boarding, Powder, Park, Jibbing, Groomers Camber / Rocker Style Camber 40mm Shape Directional Twin Tapered MidBite Tight turns, stable landings and float Tapered Midbite blends the response of a narrow waist width with the stability of a wider nose and narrower tail for powder flotation. The design steps a single section of each sidecut inwards between the insert packs. This single long disruption of the sidecut between the bindings cheats the waist width narrower, providing quicker edge-to-edge response. Meanwhile, from your bindings out to the end of the sidecut NOW maintains a wider board width that improves float in pow and is a stable platform. The Step inwards on the front is deeper than the Step outwards on the back creating a slight taper in the tail allowing the tail to be just a little narrower than the nose but without losing the twin feel. Core Material Poplar/Paulownia The weightless core strikes a critical balance between lightweight and strength. Using a lower density species of Poplar in areas that are not as structural and Paulownia in the areas that are, NOW is able to shave precious weight off their beloved 420 and now the 20/20. This helps a board not only float, but "feel" floaty. Construction Triax Edges Tapered MidBite Base Sintered Spec This is the term YES. uses and it's the grey zone many companies play in. They call it Sintered Spec because its hardness and chemical properties are very close to true sintered and its on-snow performance is also very close to true sintered - but it's formed using the extrusion process. How? Well the raw material is actually pre- consumer recycled (meaning it never left the factory) sintered base material. So while the heating and extrusion process has softened it slightly, it's still much harder than true Extruded. Binding Mounting System 4x2 Insert Pack
